INGREDIENTS Serving : For 2 Peoples

  • Whole Wheat Flour – 2 cups
  • Sugar – 1 Tablespoon
  • Salt – 1 tablespoon
  • Curd – ½ cup
  • Oil – 3 tablespoon
  • Eno – 1 sachet
  • Warm Milk – As per the need
  • Ghee – 1 tablespoon
  • Potato (Boiled) – 5
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander Powder – 1 ½ Tablespoon
  • Garam Masala – 1 Tablespoon
  • Dry Mango Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Kalonji Seed – 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander Leaves ( chopped) – 1 Strand

NOTE

In this mouth-watering dish, we have used Conscious Food Whole Wheat Flour and Avadata Organics Red Chilli Powder.

INSTRUCTIONS

For The Dough

In a mixing bowl, take the following ingredients and knead a soft dough.

  • Wheat Flour – 2 Cups
  • Sugar – ½ spoon
  • Salt – ½ spoon
  • Curd – ½ cup
  • Oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Eno – 1 sachet
  • Warm Milk – As per the need
  1. Mix all the above-listed ingredients and knead a soft dough (For knitting, warm milk will be used, not water)
  2. After the dough gets kneaded prefects,  apply ghee on the top.
  3. Cover the dough with a moist cotton cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

To Make The Filling

  Take a bowl and blend all the below-mentioned ingredients well to get a delicious stuffing.

  • Boiled potato – 5
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander powder – 1 ½ tablespoon
  • Garam Masala – 1 Tablespoon
  • Dry Mango Powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Salt – ½ spoon

Finally, The Cooking Process

  • Take the dough, pinch small-sized balls from the dough and make the ball in a bowl shape 
  • Now put 2 tablespoons of stuffing in it
  • Take the edges, start pleating the sides to the centre and seal the stuffing.
  • Flatten the stuffed balls and sprinkle some kalonji seeds and coriander leaves into it
  • With the help of a rolling pin, give it a circular shape
  • Heat a tawa on a medium flame
  • Place the rolled kulcha over the heated tawa
  • Cook it evenly from both sides
  • Brush oil on both the side of the kulcha 
  • And finally, the aloo kulcha is ready to be served.
  •   You can enjoy aloo kulcha with your favourite spicy or sweet chutney.
