To Make Chai Masala

  • Cardamom – 15 pieces
  • Cloves – 5 pieces
  • Peppercorn – 5nos
  • Cinnamon Stick (2”) – 1 no
  • Nutmeg – a small piece
  • Saunf – 1tbsp
  • Rose petals (dry)- 3tbsp
  • Ginger powder – ½ tbsp

For Masala Chai

  • Water – 4 Teacups
  • Tea Leaves – 4tbsp
  • Sugar – 4tbsp
  • Milk – 2Teacups
  • Chai Masala – ¾ tbsp

INSTRUCTIONS

How to Make Tea Masala at Home

  1. Heat a pan to medium heat, add some cardamom, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon stick, rose petals, nutmeg, and saunf. Shallow fry them for 2 minutes.
  2. Now, put them in a mortar and pestle and grind them carefully to make masala (powder). We recommend using mortar and pestle for authentic taste!
  3. Now, mix some ginger powder in it to complete the masala.
  4. Store your masala in an airtight container.

How to Make Masala Chai

  1. Now, it’s time to make refreshing masala chai! Add some water to a pan and add tea leaves.
