  • Suji – 1 cup
  • Rice flour – 1/2 cup
  • Wheat flour – 1/4  cup
  • Cumin seeds – ½ teaspoon 
  • Black salt – as needed
  • Salt – as needed
  • Water – as per need to make the batter smooth
  • Curd – 1 cup
  • Onion – 1 small size (finely chopped)
  • Green chilli – 2-3 ( finely chopped)
  • Ginger – 1 teaspoon ( fined chopped)
  • Coriander leaves – 1 stand (chopped)
  • Sesame oil – 7-8 tablespoons

INSTRUCTIONS

Let’s make it clear this recipe is not something to be afraid of attempting. The instructions to make the recipe is simple and easy to follow. Therefore to make a quick and instant rava dosa you need to follow a few simple steps and you are good to go.

 

  • In a large mixing bowl, mix suji, wheat flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, black salt and salt. And mix all the ingredients
  • Add curd to the bowl and mix well
  • Gradually add water to make a thin batter
  • Cover the batter and let it set for approx 30 minutes
  • Add chopped onion, green chillies, coriander leaves, and grated ginger to the batter and mix well
  • Heat a non-stick griddle over medium-high heat and brush with oil
  • Pour ¼ cup of batter onto the griddle and spread evenly to form a thin crepe
  • Brush with a little oil and cook until the bottom is crispy, for about 2-3 minutes
  • Fold in half and serve it with coconut chutney or any of your favourite chutney.
