  • Ghee – 4 tablespoons
  • Onion – 2 (  1 Chopped, 1 Sliced)
  • Garlic – 4 cloves ( peeled and chopped)
  • Turmeric powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Arhar dal – 100g (soaked in water for an hour)
  • Wheat flour – 2 Cups (200g)
  • Sooji – 1/2 Cup (50g)
  • Hing – 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder – 11/2  teaspoon
  • Ajwain – 2 teaspoons
  • Coriander leaves – 2 stands (chopped)
  • Cumin – 1 teaspoon
  • Whole Red chilly – 2-3
  • Whole green chilly -2

NOTE

In this traditional Rajasthani recipe, we have used organic tattva organic Arhar dal, organic tattva chakki atta, avadata ghee, and avadata turmeric powder to give it an authentic touch.

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a pan, add ghee, onion, and garlic and allow it to turn pink
  • Now add turmeric, salt and soaked Arhar dal and water to it 
  • And cook the daal for 20 minutes, and put to flames off
  • In a seasoning pan add ghee, cumin seeds, and whole red chilly 
  • Season the dal with it and put it aside
  • Now in a bowl, take wheat flour, sooji, hing, ajwain, coriander powder and ghee
  • Mix all the ingredients well and make a smooth dough with the help of water.
  • Take small portions of the dough and give it a small ball shape 
  • Cook it in a bati stand from every side
  • Serve it hot with daal along with onion-chilly salad to complement the dish.
